I'm looking on there site now, and they have a reasonable update rate.
Can it be that there free version is an old one ? :dev:

They always have the latest version free to try, however it runs for limited time only. If you already installed a previous version, I guess you either need to clean your registry or buy full version...

Hi Catalin
I just cleaned my registry and instaled it again.
If I read between your lines than I have to make a new database in the same order as my old one, at the moment I use 27 fields, gps in two (^ and <> separatly) grainsize (I hope to finish one day) collor, remarks etc.
I favor the idea, better start with to much that end with one short.
Than create a cvs file, my standart output is with [ "," ] inbetween the fields or is [ ; ] better ?
Import the lot and hope for the best. :comp:
Is that in short how to do it. :unknow:

Hi Rudy, yes, that's correct. Just open new custom collection, define all your 27 fields and import the .csv (I used ";"). Note the different field types such as String, Combobox etc. Assign type "country" for countries, you'll get the flags and nice statistics reports. For date and trade partner I prefer to use the "income date" and "income from" options within the data input window. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Nothing dumber than a computer.
I told you about that tiny inputwindow. :comp:
A long time ago I was in need of a very long list of numbers, so I cranked up my old dBase3+, and let it made a list of numbers until the system jammed.
I ended with a list up to 8 or 9 digids, the first 10,000 I used as numbers in my sandlist, and they where imported in Collection Studio. :D
So I have for now enough fields to fill with sand.

Hi Rudi, you may try the following steps:

Step 1 - create a new custom collection

Open new custom collection

Step 2 - delete the preset five fields (first small window that will pop out

Preset custom fields that need to be deleted

Step 3 - add your new fields with name and type at your liking

Add your new custom fields

Step 4 - Import your .csv file and assign each field to the respective column. In order to display only certain fields -> right click on table header und click/unclick the respective headings.

I hope I could help you a little, Rudi.

Thanks Catalin
I have my database more or less as I like it, with all my sand in it.
Only if I want to add one more sand with CTRL+F1 you get this little window.
And in this one I can only the first 10 fields to fill.

I just found by looking again and doing something I have been doing for years making the window bigger by hand.
But I got already around this by the extra fields I created in Open Office by numbering them.

Oh Rudi, now I understand what you mean :)
Yes, just make the window bigger by hand to see all fields. I am actually using a 1680x1050 monitor and I also made that window veeeery lanrge, as well as the other windows in CS, so that I can see everything at once.

Always I click the window to its maximum, and I get itchy when that is not posible.
I never understood the need for a small window, exept maybe when you need to work in more than one at the same time.
I just got a 17inch notebook, and why should I use only 4 or 5 or even 16 inch.
Then I should buy one of these mini ones for 1/3 of the price.
But for the program, I have to fiddle around with it to get completely convinced. :x

I let you know :OK:
